Pretty decent hotel. Location is great. Staff are all super friendly. Price is very reasonable. Free breakfast helps start the day in the right way. A note for anyone thinking about this hotel, the harbor facing rooms have very nice views. But, the afternoon sun can be a bit much.

Our stay at SpringHill Suites was excellent. The rooms were well-kept and comfortable, and the beds were genuinely perfect, not too hard and not too soft. The location is a strong advantage, directly in front of key tourist spots with easy access to parking, which made moving around San Diego simple. A major highlight was the service. Jasiah stood out immediately. He went above and beyond, offering us an better room than what we booked, elevating our experience for sure, recommending good restaurants and activities around the city, and answering every question we had with clear professionalism. He even gave my kid a few small freebies, which made the trip even better for him. His approach made a noticeable difference in our overall experience. However, at the breakfast, the workers weren't that friendly. One lady, i kindly asked if we can get more cream cheese for my kid since its out, i know they still have it in the back, she just didn't wanna replenish it. Food i would understand if they wont make it anymore but supplies, its always there. Other than that. Everything about the stay worked smoothly, and I’d absolutely choose this hotel again on our next visit to San Diego. SpringHill Suites continues to be a stronger option compared its Marriot counterpart.

Short Review: Maybe the best place to stay downtown. Clean. Friendly. Comfortable. Free breakfast that changes daily. Quiet. Access to public transportation and Front street. Detailed Review: The building itself is 17 floors tall with views from the elevator when they first opened, looking out over the bay and the carrier Midway. Any room on the west side gets a view of the bay as well. There are four elevators so travel time up and down is pretty quick except for breakfast time as a lot of people will be taking the elevator to the fifth floor so attempting to go down to the first floor could be a challenge. Free Breakfast: The free breakfast is a huge bonus as it changes daily. There are a lot of options from your standard classic hotel breakfast of eggs, a protein, and waffles. It also included hard-boiled eggs, granola, and fresh fruit. This is probably the biggest and most crowded hotel breakfast I’ve ever seen . It felt like there had to be over 100 people plus in the short time that I would have breakfast. Even though it was crowded, there was never a lack of food or something missing in the five days we were there. There is also an over flow room down the hall to accommodate all the guests eating in the morning. This was a huge perk for me and my family on this trip. The Staff: Every employee that we ran into was super friendly and helpful always with a welcoming smile. We arrive early that day, and they gladly held our bags for hours until the room was ready. They called us to let us know the moment that it was ready. They provide advice on transportation and things to see or do. Anytime we needed an item for the room they quickly brought it up. Excellent staff and the company should be proud of them. One of the best staffs I have experienced. The weight room and pool were well cared for and clean. The water was colder than I liked but it was December and I am expecting too much for an outdoor pool. Did get use to the temp. The Room: (2 queen, separate sitting area) Clean and well cared for. Plenty of space to move around and sit. Standard mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. The beds were comfortable the sheets were crisp and clean. The only complaint would be the pillows. They were of a half pillow size, but they did the job and I never noticed the difference. The water temperature seemed to be temperamental, but that can be expected in a large hotel. If anything the water was a little too hot, but it did seem like the time of day you took a shower could make a difference in the temperature. For those who like to sleep in the curtain did a great job of blocking out all the light keeping the room dark. The high wall mounted AC unit kept the place nice and cool and out of the way, which was another nice bonus. There were enough outlet access points to keep four of us fully charged without finding over them. The bathroom was a little tight if he had more than one person in there and the counter space in the bathroom was extremely limited so if you need a lot of space to get ready in the morning, this is gonna become a hassle. Public Transportation: Long story short, Enterprise car rentals canceled my reservation the moment we landed in San Diego so we had no car. There were zero car rentals at the airport or in and around downtown so we were stuck trying to figure out other means to get around. (They ALL claimed inventory issues) We eventually used Uber and Lyft for most of our distant trips to get around with an average price somewhere close to about $20 with tip. But we are right across the street from the Amtrak and city trolley depot the Santa Fe. This made it easy to access public transportation for the locations we wanted to visit in the downtown area. We are one stop away from Little Italy, around three or four stops from the Gas Lamp Quarter, and only a few minutes away from the San Diego Zoo. The public transportation here was surprisingly easy and intuitive to figure out for about six dollars a day.

There is literally nothing to dislike about this hotel! The location is 5 stars, right on the bay with restaurants, maritime museums and parks within walking minutes. We had a double queen bed room and it was a super generous space with a separate living area and killer views of the USS Midway. The room was modern, sleek, clean and very comfortable. Breakfast is included and it has plenty of hot protein options and is well stocked. The gym is surprisingly good for a city hotel. Plenty of free weights, cable machine and cardio machines. The reception shop is again very thoughtfully stocked with local products like protein bars and also medication and batteries. This place is superb bang for your buck which is a rarity these days. Highly recommended!

Very convenient location! The hotel is only about 5 minutes from the cruise ship terminal, which made our arrival very easy. We disembarked early in the morning and they kindly allowed us to check in early, which we really appreciated. The room was spacious and comfortable for our family of three. We stayed on the 17th floor and the view was fantastic. The pool was heated, and our child really enjoyed swimming there. The breakfast was also very good. Another great convenience was that we could easily rent a car downstairs right next to the hotel. Overall, we had a great stay!

We had a great "staycation" here. Our room had an amazing view. The location is great. The 5th floor outdoor bar/deck is a great place to gran a drink and watch the sunset. Special thanks to Hussein at the front desk who was polite, helpful, knowledgeable and professional.

Stayed here for 3 nights prior to our cruise and one night after. The service is impeccable, 5th floor space amazing and right across the street from the cruise terminal! Highly recommend. Shoutout to Geoffrey for checking us in early on both visits! We ate quite often at the Sky & Harbour and the food was delicious and convenient!

Stayed here over Thanksgiving this year. Our room had a great view of the USS Midway - in fact it's about a 10minute walk so the perfect location to stay if you're visiting the Midway. There is an attached multi-storey parking facility (about $40 a day with multi entry for guests). You will need your hotel key card to scan in and out of the carpark. Breakfast was quite decent - eggs, pancakes, sausages, bagels, orange juice, yogurt, cereal etc it seemed like a very family friendly hotel and staff were nice. My only gripe was that the tv was sort of in the middle of the room so you cant really watch it from the bed and neither can you watch it from the sofa unless you really tilt it.
